With the production line of the F-150 Raptor going strong Ford sets the turnkey off-road class bar even higher. With the Ford Racing Team developed FR Raptor XT, this new “off-road only” extension of the Raptor SVT was made strictly for desert gear heads who are ready to play hard and go big with a ready to roll factor built 4×4 truck.
The Raptor XT was primarily birthed out of the hellish desert race from the premier run the 2008 Baja 1000 with the Raptor R. After completing the race strong the Ford Race Team felt the new FR Raptor XT could be even bigger and better than the already impressive factory Raptor SVT. All of the comfort and control features of the factory production Raptor will remain the same. The biggest change is that the 5.4 liter 320 horse powered engine has been upgraded to a 6.2 liter 411 horse powered beast that produces 434 ft-lb of torque. The Raptor XT will be priced out around $100k with only 50 units made.
